Vote Libertarian

Primary Results

I have mixed emotions about the Aug 2nd primary. I can’t decide if I should be disappointed in my numbers or happy I actually did as well as I did. Less than 2% is by no means a good showing, but considering I got into the race at the last minute and that 3 months ago nobody had ever heard of me, I guess I did pretty well after all.

I want to thank everyone who had enough faith in me to mark my name on the ballot. Just know that your vote was not “wasted” and those votes serve to encourage me to make another run at it. Given that I have 2 years to prepare, I’m assured that the next time I can do this.

I’ve learned a lot this election. Things like you can’t do this on a shoestring or as a part time campaigner. You can expect to see me out and about everywhere during the upcoming 2 years. After Jan, I want this to be my full-time job. The people in the 5th CD deserve nothing less…and they definitely deserve better than they have.

Please visit my FB page and my website often for continuing updates…the best is yet to come.

Being a true grass roots campaign, I will need all the help I can get in spreading the word.  I'm asking everyone to volunteer to contact their friends and neighbors, post on social media to everyone they know in the District and just generally spread the word that an alternative choice IS available.

Thank you to everyone who has become involved so far and thank you in advance to everyone who signs up as a volunteer.

Broken Promises and Lies
How Long Is Too Long?
I can't recall the last time we elected someone who actually worked at keeping the promises they made in order to get elected (I'm sure we all remember "Read my lips").
I can understand that some things just can't get done by one person, but if you tell your constituents something, you should be shouting your views from the capitol roof top until other members of
Congress get so tired of hearing your speeches that they finally give up and listen.

As Dietrich Bonhoeffer put it when faced with an evil government, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”  I'm in no way saying our Government is "evil", but we may well be on that path.  We have to stop the madness now while we still can.

Ever wonder why Representatives are only elected for two years?  The US House of Representatives was never meant to be a career.  It was designed by our Founders for "Joe Farmer" to be sent to Congress to represent his neighbors and district then go back home to his job and family.  I think our elected officials have forgotten that fact.  There have been so many in the past that have run on the idea of "Term Limits" only to fall into the same old BS routine that has plagued this nation for decades.  They forget their promises.  If they truly believed in what they preached to get elected, they would step down, go home and be a productive and active member of their home district.

In contrast, the Senate WAS design to be a long term position to provide continuity to our Government.  But even then, isn't 30, 40 or even 50 years in office too long?
Both of the major parties have let us down.  It's about time to elect a person with some common sense.

Let's all say NO to the BS in DC
